Lazy Moon Palace – by Peilian Li
Lazy Moon Palace – A presentation by Peilian Li
Peilian, a resident artist, shared a video project exploring cultural identity and memories, which was created collaboratively with other artists during residencies in various locations. The project featured a mix of documentary and fiction, incorporating elements of fantasy, role-play, and an invented language to explore themes of identity and expression. The meeting discussed the creation process, costumes, and interpretation of the project, as well as potential future engagements and sharing of the video recording.
The film features a unique group of artists, including queer people and marginalized individuals, and is set in the Italian part of Switzerland. Peilian’s role is the queen of this rebuilt place, and the other characters are witches and magical creatures.
