Elisa Wouk AlminoAdviser
Elisa Wouk Almino is the deputy editor of IMAGE, the style and culture magazine at the Los Angeles Times. She is also a widely published writer and literary translator from Portuguese. She was formerly the senior editor at Hyperallergic and is the editor of Alice Trumbull Mason: Pioneer of American Abstraction (Rizzoli, 2020). She teaches literary translation at UCLA Extension.
As an advisor, in addition to giving feedback on artwork, Elisa is happy to offer her expertise on writing and editing, and encourages artists to share their artist statements or any other written material they wish to workshop.
Elisa can conduct meetings in both English and Portuguese.
