| Bio | Silvana Soriano, originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is a visual artist, art teacher, and illustrator currently residing in Miami, Florida. Her artistic journey has taken her to various solo and group exhibitions across Brazil, Spain, France, the USA, and Cuba. In 2022, Soriano contributed to the group exhibition “Women Pulling at the Threads of Social Discourse” at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Westport. She was also honored with the Teacher Travel Grant – The Ellies Oolite Art. Additionally, she participated in residencies at Ratcliffe Art + Design Incubator (2020/2021), La Maldita Estampa Printshop Barcelona, and Project Art in Miami (2023). Beyond exhibitions and residencies, Soriano’s creates book illustrations, covering a diverse range from children’s literature to poetry. She is also involved in online printmaking magazine publishing. |
