Using only an ubiquitous iPhone, I capture the subtleties of ordinary, unassuming landscapes and experiment with the malleability of photography. I explore the potential of modifying images using low resolution to distress the pixel “texture” to achieve aesthetic results. Working on the flexibility of images, I reshape them into an interpretation that disrupts clarity and photographic accuracy, questioning how photographs can be manipulated aesthetically, transforming them into a visual sensation of a landscape or a portraits, and guiding them through a delicate balance between abstraction and the original figurative essence. With this process I explore the use/interpretation for both the contemporary digital photographic form and the landscape itself.
