Statement | After 20+ years in education spanning 6 countries and 5 American states, I work on strategic political campaigns, and as a nonprofit strategist in the education sector. I am a researcher and scholarship recipient with The New Centre for Research and Practice. I’m finishing my Master’s degree at Maryland Institute College of Art in August 2024. I will be embarking upon two simultaneous MFA degrees, one in Poetry and one in Graphic Design, in 2025. I hold an MSED in special education and a BA in English. I have extensive training in Linguistics and Sociolinguistics, too. I speak some of 7 languages. I excel at collaboration, communication, and empathetic and strategic design thinking. In an effort to combine these seemingly disparate endeavors, I am a Founder and CEO. I work in the arts and disability justice spaces. I’ve developed Disability Justice by Design, (Re) Design Psych, and Capable Magazine. |
