McKinna Anderson is a visual artist working in and around photography, sculpture, and installation. Through a theoretically informed approach she explores matters of absence and presence, specifically how they oscillate between physical reality and digital realms, using strategies like image mining, erasure, and processes of transmutation.

Anderson earned her BFA from the University of South Florida, and her MFA from the University of Florida. She is currently employed as a Teaching Lab Specialist for the Creative Photography and Art + Tech departments at the University of Florida.
