Bio | Rosela del Bosque is a curator and researcher from Mexicali, Mexico. She holds a BA in Art History from Universidad de las Américas Puebla and an MA in Advanced Studies in Curating from Zurich University of the Arts. Her research traces the systematic extraction of water, land, energy and its repercussions on collective memory. Through her practice, Rosela explores ways of addressing ecological loss and degradation mediated by process-oriented artistic research, archives, and curatorial work. She was a cohort in the inaugural Postnatural Independent Program (PIP) hosted by the Institute for Postnatural Studies in Madrid. She has participated in panel discussions and presented her work in Intermediae Matadero, OnCurating Project Space, SOMA, INSITE, and TBA21. She has acquired grants emitted by Fomento Jumex Arte Contemporáneo in 2022, FONCA PECDA 2023-24, and Patronato de Arte Contemporáneo A.C. 2022-23 (PAC). Currently, she is a collaborator at Planta Libre, an independent project space and platform for cultural production, research, and contemporary art in Mexicali, Mexico, and a member of Archivo Familiar del Río Colorado, a long-term project driven by the prevailing regional water shortage. Alongside Daniela Lieja Quintanar, she is co-curator of the exhibition “Ingrid Hernádez, 20 años de arte under construction” to be presented at Centro Cultural Tijuana in 2025. She is currently studying for a Certificate in Transdisciplinary Studies at The New Centre for Research & Practice. |
