William Martinez Brito, born in Havana, Cuba, in 1968, is a creator  with a wide artistic diapason that reflects his devotion for creativity and expression. He received his formal art education at the Vocational Art school and The Professional Art School in Camaguey, Cuba, laying the foundation for his future artistic endeavors.

Brito’s talent has been showcased in numerous personal art shows, demonstrating his versatility and mastery across different mediums. Notable exhibitions include an art show at the Alejo Carpentier Gallery in Camaguey, Cuba, in 2003, and an international exhibition of clay and painting in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in the same year. His 2001 art show, “Hypomnesia,” in Cuba, and another at UNEAC, further solidified his presence in the Cuban art scene.

The artist’s contributions extend beyond personal exhibitions, as he actively participated in collective art shows, both nationally and internationally. His involvement in the 2010 “Pintando Together”auction event at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, where proceeds benefited the Matamoros Corporation, showcased his commitment to using art for charitable causes. Additionally, Brito participated in Art Basel Week in 2010, contributing to the Coral Gables Gallery Walk and Art in the Breezeway.

Brito’s work has graced esteemed venues such as the Schacknow Museum of Fine Art in Plantation, Florida, and the Fidelio Ponce de Leon Hall in Camaguey, Cuba, in 2006 and 2005, respectively. His artistic journey also includes performances, like the 1988 “La Campana de Toledo” in Camaguey, adding a dynamic element to his repertoire.

His art has left a lasting impact, finding homes in private collections in the USA and Portugal, a testament to the global appreciation of his unique and compelling artistic vision.
