| Bio | Dulce Lamarca is an Argentinian-born interdisciplinary artist, advisor, and arts worker living and working between Buenos Aires and New York. She offers mentorships focused on career development, professional materials, applications, strategic planning, and building sustainable artistic practices. Drawing on over nine years of experience supporting artists and cultural institutions in New York, she helps artists navigate both the creative and practical aspects of building a life in the arts. Her experience includes roles at El Museo del Barrio, Performa, La Salita, Proto Gallery, and Marilyn Minter Studio, where works as Finance Manager since 2021. As an artist, Dulce works mainly across video, photography, performance, and public engagement. Her background as a cellist and her years working with terminally ill patients have deeply informed her interest in time as both subject and material. Her current work explores the relationship between material consumption and the environment, addressing the consequences of urban living, overconsumption, and environmental degradation while reflecting on our interconnectedness with other species and with one another. She has exhibited internationally across Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand, Italy, Sweden, Germany, China, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, and the United States. Dulce holds a BFA in Painting and Arts Education from Regina Espacio de Arte in Buenos Aires, an MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York, and is currently completing a diploma in Arts Management, Marketing, and Commercialization through an online program based in Madrid. |
