As an artist I circulate the frequency of beauty and peace through the creative process. My creative practice is strongly influenced by my previous studies in Philosophy and Asian Studies. At the moment my work is a visual exploration of the connection between the philosophy of repetition and patterns. Glass as a very versatile material allows me to capture the essence of beauty in all its forms. Through my work I am also searching for my own center and glass allows me to find that meditative moment of quiet. I hope to bring this healing quality of silence through my creations. I am also interested in the stories of
everyday objects, in the patterns of nature and ourselves – drawing inspiration from the continual transformation and growth of our inner world and nature’s forms. My glass practice is characterized by an experimental and meditative approach to materials and technique. I perceive glass to be seductive as it
is a medium which does not like to be overly dominated. What keeps me interested in glass is the challenging nature of the material, inspiring me to be on a constant path of growth and change. The transformative capabilities of glass also allow me to express both fragility and strength or to allude the physical characteristics of other materials. My favourite technique to use is pate de verre, I like to explore and experiment with it and I’m trying to find innovative ways from the traditional uses.
