Installation view
Uncool Gallery, Brooklyn, New York, October 2024.
The Land of the Lilies deals with the blurred boundaries between myth and perception. Drawing on my interdisciplinary approach, this exhibition merges painting, sculpture, and video projections to guide the viewer into a surreal and multifaceted environment.
A key aspect of this exhibition are the 360-degree arrangement of expansive, double-sided paintings which are suspended from the ceiling. The paintings’ mirror-edged canvases reflect the viewer and surroundings. The kinetic arrangement allows the works to capture light from various angles, while reflecting back the viewers image into a fragmented self when stepping closer. In the conjunction with video projection (event) the installation turns into Kaleidoscopic of impressions where everything is in flux, creating countless possibilities and dimensions to see the exhibited art works. The video is enhanced with a voice over of a deconstructed text by Hypnotherapist Krasner, I speak on connecting to a land which seems in far distant but can be found inside to connect the viewer to non-linear form of thinking while making the subconscious conscious.
The Land of the Lilies explores the intersection between cosmic energy and the delicate form of a Lilies suggesting a distant land where transformation can be channeled.
