Rosaline Dou (b. 2002, Wenzhou, China) is an art thinker and cultivator whose work recontextualizes everyday habits and actions. She reprocesses/reinterprets the familiar and underlying metabolisms that govern our daily rituals. Dou’s work serves as a means of self-exile, seeking to unlearn the constraints of social constructs, rationality, and prescribed norms.

Currently as an artist-in-residence at Uncool Artist in Brooklyn, NY, Dou’s work has exhibited at the Jacob Lawrence Gallery, 4C Gallery, Sojourner Gallery, 1215 Gallery, along with many pop-up and site-specific spaces, such as trees, restrooms, windows, and elevators. Her curatorial initiative, Our Playground, approaches her vision to redefine spaces beyond her artistic practice by transforming an idle courtyard into an art-gathering playground.
