Statement

As a Korean-American, my style and subject matter is influenced by my experience growing up with an uneasy feeling of Otherness as I moved from my childhood, rural midwestern town to my adult life in New Jersey. Through my work, I aim to express my generational anxieties and conflicts through a surreal expressionist style.
