| Bio | Julian is a curator, artist, writer, and arts administrator based in Lisbon, Portugal. His conceptual focus is on the many points of friction between intention, articulation, and reception. From 2020 – 2024 he directed the Corporate Art Program for Johnson & Johnson, managing its global collection and internal exhibitions as well as nearly $300K in annual philanthropic spending on the arts and health. He was the founder and co-director of OUTLET Fine Art, an innovative gallery in Brooklyn from 2012 – 2016, as well as roving curatorial project Associated Gallery. He has worked on over 90 exhibitions with more than 300 artists, and his projects have been reviewed in places like New York Magazine, The Creator’s Project, Cool Hunting, The New York Times, and Art in America. His writing has been featured in various publications like Garage Magazine and Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art. |
