Simone Etter she/ her 1982* alias marsie works as a professional visual artist. She also works as an artistic-scientific expert, independent organizer/curator and lecturer at the Bern Academy of the Arts.

research, and participatory interventions in public space.

Her practice

explores the shifting boundaries between everyday life and art through subtle,

context-responsive actions that activate collective experience and social

interaction. The practice works with degrowth as a collective artistic strategy that critically responds to dominant paradigms of productivity, efficiency,

and growth. The work unfolds through diverse formats — including walking, radio, research-based experiments, interviews, computer games, and

intentional non-doing. These approaches explore alternative modes of ttime, attention, and collective experience beyond the logics of

acceleration and cultural consumption.

In 2012, Simone Etter founded the woman artists’ collective “künstlerinnenkollektiv marsie”. Today, simply

referred to as marsie. Since then, she has been working under that name.
