| Bio | My artistic practice explores themes of discipline and play, play and punishment, the shaping forces of identity through visual metaphors and maternal symbolism, often using painting to evoke immersive, dreamlike environments. For example, in recent works, I have integrated imagery of pools—representing protection and the unconscious. This symbolism has roots in recurring dreams, making each piece a dialogue with both personal memories and universal experiences of nurturing spaces and or struggles and pressures of learning and growing up. In exploring spatial depth, my work seeks to bring viewers into the painted environments themselves, inviting them to experience layers of emotion and symbolism. My paintings aren’t just about the surface; they aim to create a sense of entering and experiencing these spaces from within, like being enveloped in a story. |
